Library Rules



1. Placido del Mundo Elementary School recognizes the need of its students, teachers and employees to have access to the Internet while on the job, using school computers. As such, XYZ has made the decision to make the Internet available to all students, teachers and employees for XYZ academic purposes. 

2. Placido del Mundo Elementary School School intends for the Internet to be accessed for academic purposes and expects that students, teachers and employees will spend no more than 5 minutes per day accessing the Internet for non-academic purposes.

3. Placido del Mundo Elementary School specifically prohibits its students, teachers, employees from accessing the following types of sites using school computers:
              a. Gaming sites
              b. Social networking sites
              c. Peer to Peer sites
              d. Proxy sites
              e. Gambling sites
f. Auction sites
g. Hate sites
h. Pornographic sites
i. Any site engaging in or encouraging      illegal activity

4. The school reserves the right to use monitoring software to make sure the schools AUP is being adhered to by its students, teachers and employees. The school may record and/or monitor one or more students, teachers and employees computer and Internet activity for any reason and without any specific notice.






5. By reading this document and using the school computers and internet:
a. You agree that you have had the opportunity to review this agreement and ask any questions regarding this document.
b. You agree to adhere to the schools AUP.
c. You agree that you will be subject to disciplinary measures, including possible suspension/ termination, if you violate the AUP.
  



E-LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS


      Kindly wear your shoe cover before entering the e-library area.
      First come – first serve policy is followed. Use of computer is limited to 30 minutes. However, the student can extend provided there no users lined up.
      Users should log-in/register on the e-library log book and present their valid ID.  Fill-up all the necessary information. Users must get first his/her computer number from the e-librarian.
      Users must work on their assigned computer. Avoid transferring or changing computer workstation without any permission from the e-librarian.
      Use the e-library facilities carefully. Users are responsible to any damages (hardware or software) on the computer that assigned to them.
      Damages to the library equipment and materials due to careless handling will be replaced or repaired at the expense of the user concerned.
*      Observe the proper e-library hours. For grades III and V, they can use library facilities from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. For grades IV and VI, their time will start from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
      Games are strictly prohibited.
      In saving files/documents on a diskette or flash drive, inform the e-librarian for possible assistance and to save your documents correctly.
      Food, drinks, bags, and lunch box are not allowed inside of the e-library area.
      Sit properly on the swivel/computer chair.
      Only the authorized personnel are allowed to operate the air-conditioned unit.
      Users must log off computer properly. Instructions are posted on the upper part of the computer table.
      Users must arrange the chair before he/she can leave.
      “No Littering” policy is strictly implemented to maintain the cleanliness of the e-library.
      Users must inform the e-librarian before leaving the e-library area.

The following are prohibited

  1. Installing own computer software.
  2. Using personal gadgets or attaching other computer peripherals.
  3. Checking out CD-ROMS and Computer Units.
  4. Accessing vulgar and pornographic web sites.


NO VIOLATION OF THE AFOREMENTIONED REGULATIONS WILL BE EXCLUDED ON PLEA OF IGNORANCE
